Nên kết hợp cả hai. Giai đoạn đầu (A1-A2), ưu tiên học theo tần suất (1000 từ thông dụng nhất) để có nền tảng. Từ trình độ B1 trở lên, học theo chủ đề phù hợp với mục tiêu cá nhân — ví dụ nếu bạn làm IT thì tập trung vào công nghệ, nếu hay đi công tác thì tập trung vào du lịch và kinh doanh.

Mỗi ngày nên học bao nhiêu từ theo chủ đề?

Lý tưởng là hoàn thành một chủ đề trong 3-5 ngày. Mỗi ngày học 8-10 từ mới, đặt câu ví dụ với từng từ và dùng lại chúng trong hội thoại hoặc nhật ký. Sau khi học xong một chủ đề, thử kể chuyện hoặc mô tả tình huống bằng tiếng Anh chỉ dùng từ vựng của chủ đề đó.
